The following are specific Image Microsystems’ commitments:

- Disassembly philosophy. Separating unusable product into material groups through a disassembly process minimizes the risk for contamination. To better conserve the earth’s resources, Image Microsystems does not practice grinding of entire units. It is our belief that whole unit granulation can be the cause of cross contamination of material.

-Zero Landfill philosophy. We oppose the waste of reusable resources that currently exists with the land filling of excess, obsolete, and scrap electronics (e-waste).

-No overseas dumping of hazardous material. Rather than ship our problems overseas, we are committed to using solutions that act responsibly regarding the protection of global resources.

-Independent audit of Image’s recycling operations. Image has a complete and comprehensive Independent audit of its recycling facilities to assure not only total environmental compliance but also a best practices management operation.

-Monitor downstream vendors recycling compliance. We commit to the tracking of hazardous as well as non-hazardous E-Waste throughout the product recycling chain and to ensuring that the downstream intermediaries and recovery operations such as smelters are monitored to meet all applicable environmental and health regulations world-wide.

-On-going recycling research actively supported. Research to facilitate a paradigm shift toward zero waste and sustainable production is vigorously supported.
